Registration Policies

Deposit and Payment Schedule

A minimum deposit of $995 is due at the time of registration. The remaining balance is due 6 months prior to the event start date. Registrations made within 6 months from the start of the event will require full payment at the time of registration.

Room Occupancy

Trip pricing is based on double occupancy for all hotel rooms. If you register as a solo adventurer, we will do our best to find pair you with a roommate.

Single Occupancy Upgrade: Solo travelers who opt to have their own room will be charged a supplemental fee at the time of registration. Single room occupancy rates vary based on the location and hotels selected as part of our excursion.

Refund Policy

Due to the remote nature of our destinations, we have a strict cancellation policy. We strongly recommend participants purchase a travel insurance policy to cover "cancellation for any reason" and medical care.

Refunds requested more than 6 months from the first day of the event will be issued a 100% refund.

Refund requests made more than 6 months from the first day of the event date will be issued a refund less the $995 non-refundable per person deposit.

Refunds requested between 180 days and 120 days from the first day of the event dates will be issued a refund of 50% of the total event fee.

Unfortunately, our partners have strict refund policies and it is therefore not possible for us to provide refunds if the request is made within 120 days of the event start date, with no exceptions.

All refunds will be returned to the original form of payment used at the time of registration.

Minimum Capacity

All of our events have minimum capacity requirements to ensure the financial viability of the experience. In the event that these minimum capacities are not met, Gritara reserves the right to cancel the trip.

Should this occur, customers will be contacted via email and all payments will be refunded or deferred to a future trip, based on customer preference.
