Gritara Luxury Adventures is a luxury adventure travel company that designs private and small-group journeys through Chilean and Argentine Patagonia. We are specialists rather than generalists. Torres del Paine, El Chaltén and the Perito Moreno Glacier are the places we return to season after season, and every itinerary we build there is expert-led and anchored in the region’s best lodges. We also run journeys in the Atacama Desert, Mendoza, Buenos Aires and Norway, and Mont Blanc joins the collection in 2027.
It started in the Grand Canyon. Our founders organized a Grand Canyon crossing to raise money for charity, discovered how much they loved building hard, beautiful trips for like-minded people, and never stopped. They still run the nonprofit that began it all, Run2Revive, and they still cross the Canyon every year with a new group of adventurers.
How a Gritara Journey Works
Every Gritara journey has a real physical challenge at its center. In Patagonia that is the W Trek: 49.7 miles and 8,956 feet of ascent through Torres del Paine. But the challenge is always yours to scale. Each day you choose one full-day excursion or two half-days, and if weather, altitude or tired legs change the plan, your guide changes it with you. Travelers with very different appetites for effort routinely share the same trip and meet again over a glass of wine at the end of the day.
You can join a scheduled small-group departure, capped at 20 travelers, or take the same access privately with your partner or your family on dates you choose. Either way the planning is ours. Book your flights and arrive; we take care of the rest.
