Day 1

Arrival in Buenos Aires

Touch down in the self proclaimed Paris of South America, a city humming with soulful energy, culinary ambition and a nonstop cultural calendar. Your private driver meets you at the airport and delivers you straight to your hotel in the heart of Recoleta, where cafes, leather boutiques and grand old plazas invite an easy first afternoon. As evening falls, settle in at a legendary parrilla for the kind of steak and Malbec pairing this city was built on.

Day 2

Tango, Antiques and La Boca

Spend a full day threading through the city's most characterful neighborhoods. Wander San Telmo's cobblestone antiques market, watch impromptu tango unfold on the colorful streets of La Boca, and if you wish, we will arrange a private polo lesson, a day at an estancia, or tickets to a match at the legendary Bombonera stadium. As night falls, enjoy dinner at one of the city's finest tables before a private tango show.

Day 3

Onward to El Chaltén

A short flight carries you south to El Calafate, gateway to the Andes, followed by a scenic private transfer into the trekking capital of Argentina, El Chaltén. This is a mountain town built entirely for the outdoors, ringed by breweries and independent restaurants. Settle in and rest, tomorrow begins a full day on the trail.

Day 4

Laguna de los Tres and Mount Fitz Roy

Today is the journey's signature trek, a full day climb to Laguna de los Tres for one of Patagonia's most iconic views: the jagged granite spires of Mount Fitz Roy rising straight from the glacier below. We recommend an early start with plenty of water and snacks. In the evening, unwind with hearty food and a cold beer at a casual local spot.

Day 5

Laguna Torre

A second, slightly gentler trek awaits, out to Laguna Torre for extraordinary views of Cerro Torre's needle summit. Since the trail runs out and back, you can turn around at any point and shorten the day considerably if yesterday's climb left you tired. The route follows a river valley studded with viewpoints the entire way.

Day 6

Into the Wilderness at EOLO

Leave El Chaltén behind and travel deep into the Patagonian steppe, where a traditional estancia has been reimagined with quiet modern elegance. Every meal, cocktail and moment of your stay is included, set against sweeping views and total seclusion.

Day 7

Ice Trekking on Perito Moreno

Choose your adventure today: strap on crampons for a hike across the astonishing blue crevasses of Perito Moreno Glacier, or opt for horseback riding, kayaking, a catamaran cruise or birdwatching instead. Rising 230 feet above Lago Argentino, the glacier is a spectacular sight from the water and even more remarkable underfoot.

Day 8

Gaucho Life on Horseback

Get a taste of Patagonian gaucho life on horseback, setting out right from your lodge toward flamingo lake or up the slopes of Cerro Frías for sweeping views. Prefer something else? Choose from kayaking, a glacier cruise, mountain biking, birdwatching or simply resting after yesterday's big day.

Day 9

Crossing into Chile

Today you cross the border from Argentina into Chile by private vehicle, a roughly five hour drive made easy by the changing scenery along the way. You arrive at Tierra Patagonia in time to settle in, meet your guides and review the excursions ahead.

Day 10

Mirador Base Las Torres

The eastern leg of the celebrated W Trek begins with a steep, demanding climb to Mirador Base Las Torres, the viewpoint beneath Torres del Paine's three granite towers. Alternative excursions are available if you would prefer a different kind of day, everything is arranged for you either way.

Day 11

Grey Glacier and the Hanging Bridges

Take on the W Trek's western arm today, beginning with a scenic drive to Lago Grey and a catamaran crossing to Sector Grey. From there, a trail leads out to a series of bridges suspended above Grey Glacier, the most manageable day of the three but no less dramatic.

Day 12

The French Valley

The trip's longest trekking day carries you up through the French Valley to Mirador Británico and across toward Paine Grande, a marathon length day through some of the most varied landscapes in the park. The itinerary can be adjusted or shortened to match your pace.

A Change of Pace at The Singular

Leaving Tierra Patagonia's wild landscape behind, you transition to the considered elegance of The Singular Patagonia. After days on the trail, this is your moment to slow down entirely with a spa treatment and an exceptional final dinner.

Fitness
Multiple full day treks, including two demanding hikes near Fitz Roy and three days of the W Trek. A good level of fitness is recommended.
Crossing borders
