Day 1: Arrive in Buenos Aires
Arrive in the “Paris of South America” for a cultural experience filled with soulful energy, culinary excellence, a thriving theater scene, passionate sports fans, and street art to inspire.

Check in to Hub Porteño (or similar)

Wander the Recoleta neighborhood and stumble on cute cafes, leather boutiques, and historic plazas.
Attractions: Recoleta Cemetery; Basilica of Our Lady of the Pillar; Museo Nacional de Bellas Artes; Floralis Generica.
Local Shops / Markets: Avenida Alvear, Plaza Dorrego, and Plaza Francia.
Lunch: La Biela Café

Dine: For meat and red wine lovers, you’ll find some of the world’s best in Buenos Aires. We will secure a table for you at the legendary Don Julio Parrilla.
If meat is not your thing, consider Casa Cavia, set in a beautiful 1920s mansion with a romantic atmosphere, great cocktails, and a candlelit garden patio.
After dinner, stroll around the Palermo neighborhood and stop for a nightcap at one of the many cocktail bars in the area or a delicious ice cream at a local gelateria.
Consider a nightcap at Floreria Atlántico - A hidden door in a florist store opens to a cocktail bar with a world-traveler theme.

Day 2: Explore Buenos Aires
Explore the rich blend of culture, cuisine, and uniquely local experiences. Wander historic neighborhoods like San Telmo, Recoleta, and La Boca to soak up colonial charm, vibrant street art, and iconic architecture. Dive into the city’s cultural scene with a tango show at Rojo Tango, world-class museums, and performances at the grand Teatro Colón. Food lovers can indulge in traditional asado (barbecue) and local wine tastings, while those seeking active adventures can bike through Palermo’s parks or cruise the Tigre Delta. Enjoy soccer at the legendary La Bombonera stadium, stylish shopping, buzzing nightlife, or day trips to experience an estancia or a polo match - we will customize your Buenos Aires experience based on your interests.

Start your day with coffee and breakfast at your hotel.
Taxi / Uber to the La Boca neighbood.
Watch (or participate) in some street tango, while soaking up the colorful Caminito street.

Taxi Uber San Telmo to explore the antiques market along it’s cobblestone streets.
Stop for lunch at Nápoles and find yourself surrounded by a curated collection of vintage cars, motorcycles, and eclectic antiques. This unique setting offers a blend of art, history, and cuisine.

Day 3: Travel Day + El Chaltén
It’s time to experience the trekking capital of Argentina. This town was quite literally built for hiking and exploring the outdoors. It’s a mountain town with local breweries and independent restaurants.

Transfer from your hotel in Buenos Aires to AEP Airport for your 3 hr 20 min flight to El Calafate (FTE).

Private transfer from FTE to the mountain town of El Chaltén. 2 hr 30 min.
Check in at Los Cerros del Chalten Boutique Hotel.

Explore the town and get a casual dinner at B Fitz Resto.
Prepare for a full day of hiking tomorrow.

Destination: El Chaltén

Day 4: Hike to Mount Fitz Roy
Laguna de los Tres. This is a tough out-and-back all-day hike but you will be rewarded with the iconic jagged peaks of Mount Fitz Roy. A truly spectacular vista!

Start early and load your packs with snacks, water, and electrolytes. Check the weather before you go: this is not a challenge to take on in bad weather.
The trailhead is at the end of town so it’s easy enough to walk to from your hotel.

Max Elevation: 11,171 ft

Destination: El Chaltén

Day 5: Hike Laguna Torre
This is another tough hike but not quite as difficult as Fitz Roy. If you are feeling tired from the day before, consider hiking just to the first lookout for extraordinary views and a shorter day.

If you choose to take on the full Laguna Torre hike, you will be hiking most of the day but, since this is an out-and-back hike, you can choose to turn around at any point. The viewpoints along the way are incredible!

Elevation Gain: 1,800 ft
Max Elevation: 2,100 ft

Day 6: Estancia Experience
It’s time to go deep into the Patagonian wilderness. Blending the spirit of a traditional estancia with modern elegance, you’ll be immersed in sweeping views, refined comfort, and quiet seclusion.

Private transfer from El Chaltén back to El Calafate airport (2 hrs, 20 mins) where you will be met up by the EOLO team for your 50 min transfer to EOLO.

Day 7: Glacier Hike
Choose your adventure today. For those seeking a truly unique experience, strap on crampons and hike along Perito Moreno Glacier. Many alternative excursions are available including horseback riding, kayaking, a glacier boat cruise, mountain biking, bird watching, and hiking.

Rising 230 feet above the surface of Lago Argentino, Perito Moreno Glacier is a breathtaking sight from the comfort of a catamaran. Step off the boat and into crampons to walk on the largest ice field outside of Antarctica. Experience Patagonia’s pristine wilderness up close as you step over crystal-clear crevasses that plunge over 550 feet into the abyss. Step into cathedral-like ice caves that have naturally sculpted by meltwater streams, carving tunnels through the dense ice.
This is one of Patagonia’s most iconic natural wonders and a journey into a frozen world of silence and wonder.

We recommend hiking on Perito Moreno Glacier. The experience will start with a transfer from EOLO to Los Glaciares National Park (1 hr), where you will board a ferry to take you to the glacier (20 minutes).
You’ll begin a 2hour hike through the forest, with some steep steps to climb but will be rewarded with panoramic views of the glacier.
Once you reach the ice, you’ll strap on your crampons for 3 hours of ice trekking, including lunch on the ice.

Day 8: Horse Riding
Get a taste of Patagonian gaucho life on horseback - right from your hotel. Choose an adventure to flamingo lake or ascend the slope of Cerro Frías for sweeping views.
If horse riding is not your thing, many other adventures are available, including kayaking, a glacier boat cruise, mountain biking, bird watching, and hiking.

Start the day with a great breakfast and relax! Yesterday was a tough full-day so take some time to enjoy the hotel and it’s spectacular surroundings.

Enjoy lunch at the hotel, then set off on horseback to explore. You will have the option of riding to flamingo lake or ascend the slope of Cerro Frías for sweeping views.
Of course, if horse riding is not your thing, choose your own adventure. There is so much to choose from. You can do more adventures in Los Glaciares national park; boat cruise on Lago Argentino and Upsala Glacier; kayak; take a boat cruise; mountain bike; bird watch; or hike.
You also have the option to enjoy your hotel. Read a book or relax in the dry sauna, steam room, and outdoor jacuzzi.

Return to EOLO for a well-deserved dinner and a finely crafted cocktail.

Day 9: Travel to Chile
Today you will cross the border from Argentina to Chile. Due to the remoteness of this region, a long car journey is much more efficient than flying. Prepare yourself for a ~5 hour journey. We promise that the ride will be so worth it! What you see on the other side will amaze you!

Enjoy a nice breakfast at your hotel because lunch will be on the road!

We will break it up a bit. The EOLO team will take you back to the town of El Calafate, where you will meet your driver from Tierra Hotels (our home base for the Chilean adventure).

Meet your fellow travelers. You will skip the meeting in Santiago to minimize travel and meet up with our group directly at Tierra Patagonia.

Explore the hotel and meet with our guides to review all excursion options. his briefing will help you understand the landscape around us and the activities available.

Day 10: Base Tower Hike
Today is all about adventure. Join us as we embark on a journey to Mirador Base Las Torres - the Eastern leg of the W Trek. This is a steep and difficult hike. Alternative excursions are available for those seeking a different adventure.
Everything is taken care of for you. No need to think about anything!
Day 11: Bridges
Take on the W’s western arm with a hike from Paine Grande up to the bridges overlooking Grey Glacier. Our day will begin with a scenic drive to Hotel Lago Grey, where we will enjoy a coffee before boarding a Catamaran to Sector Grey.
While still a tough day on the trail, this is the most manageable of our 3-day W trek and you’ll be rewarded with more unique landscapes and an adventurous trail.

Day 12: French Valley
Can you make it to through the French Valley, up to Mirador Británico, and across to Paine Grande before our Catamaran departs? Our final adventure is an exhilarating 23.5 mile marathon through a myriad of incredible vistas. It’s the central section of our W trek, with options to modify and alternative itineraries customized to your interests.

Day 13: The Singular
It’s always hard to leave Tierra Patagonia’s iconic environment but you’ll be leaving with incredible memories and new friends. We’ll make the transition easier with a stay at the extraordinary Singular Patagonia. You’ve earned a Spa Day, followed by another fabulous dinner!
Day 14: Farewell
Departure from Puerto Natales. Return to Santiago and fly home or spend a weekend in Santiago.
