EXPERIENCE BOTH PERSPECTIVES
ARGENTINE & CHILEAN PATAGONIA
14 Days / 13 Nights | Private & Bespoke
Fourteen days, shaped entirely around you
Two countries, one journey
Argentina and Chile are joined here by a private overland crossing, so the trip flows from Buenos Aires city energy straight into the wild trails of Patagonia.
Fitz Roy to the W Trek
From the trekking capital of El Chalten to the granite towers of Torres del Paine, your days are built around the finest trails on both sides of the border.
Storied stays, city to summit
A boutique hotel in Buenos Aires gives way to an estancia lodge, a considered base beneath the towers, and a final refined stay at The Singular Patagonia.
Fourteen days between Buenos Aires and Patagonia
Arrival in Buenos Aires
Touch down in the self proclaimed Paris of South America, a city humming with soulful energy, culinary ambition and a nonstop cultural calendar. Your private driver meets you at the airport and delivers you straight to your hotel in the heart of Recoleta, where cafes, leather boutiques and grand old plazas invite an easy first afternoon. As evening falls, settle in at a legendary parrilla for the kind of steak and Malbec pairing this city was built on.
Tango, Antiques and La Boca
Spend a full day threading through the city's most characterful neighborhoods. Wander San Telmo's cobblestone antiques market, watch impromptu tango unfold on the colorful streets of La Boca, and if you wish, we will arrange a private polo lesson, a day at an estancia, or tickets to a match at the legendary Bombonera stadium. As night falls, enjoy dinner at one of the city's finest tables before a private tango show.
Onward to El Chaltén
A short flight carries you south to El Calafate, gateway to the Andes, followed by a scenic private transfer into the trekking capital of Argentina, El Chaltén. This is a mountain town built entirely for the outdoors, ringed by breweries and independent restaurants. Settle in and rest, tomorrow begins a full day on the trail.
Laguna de los Tres and Mount Fitz Roy
Today is the journey's signature trek, a full day climb to Laguna de los Tres for one of Patagonia's most iconic views: the jagged granite spires of Mount Fitz Roy rising straight from the glacier below. We recommend an early start with plenty of water and snacks. In the evening, unwind with hearty food and a cold beer at a casual local spot.
Laguna Torre
A second, slightly gentler trek awaits, out to Laguna Torre for extraordinary views of Cerro Torre's needle summit. Since the trail runs out and back, you can turn around at any point and shorten the day considerably if yesterday's climb left you tired. The route follows a river valley studded with viewpoints the entire way.
Into the Wilderness at EOLO
Leave El Chaltén behind and travel deep into the Patagonian steppe, where a traditional estancia has been reimagined with quiet modern elegance. Every meal, cocktail and moment of your stay is included, set against sweeping views and total seclusion.
Ice Trekking on Perito Moreno
Choose your adventure today: strap on crampons for a hike across the astonishing blue crevasses of Perito Moreno Glacier, or opt for horseback riding, kayaking, a catamaran cruise or birdwatching instead. Rising 230 feet above Lago Argentino, the glacier is a spectacular sight from the water and even more remarkable underfoot.
Gaucho Life on Horseback
Get a taste of Patagonian gaucho life on horseback, setting out right from your lodge toward flamingo lake or up the slopes of Cerro Frías for sweeping views. Prefer something else? Choose from kayaking, a glacier cruise, mountain biking, birdwatching or simply resting after yesterday's big day.
Crossing into Chile
Today you cross the border from Argentina into Chile by private vehicle, a roughly five hour drive made easy by the changing scenery along the way. You arrive at Tierra Patagonia in time to settle in, meet your guides and review the excursions ahead.
Mirador Base Las Torres
The eastern leg of the celebrated W Trek begins with a steep, demanding climb to Mirador Base Las Torres, the viewpoint beneath Torres del Paine's three granite towers. Alternative excursions are available if you would prefer a different kind of day, everything is arranged for you either way.
Grey Glacier and the Hanging Bridges
Take on the W Trek's western arm today, beginning with a scenic drive to Lago Grey and a catamaran crossing to Sector Grey. From there, a trail leads out to a series of bridges suspended above Grey Glacier, the most manageable day of the three but no less dramatic.
The French Valley
The trip's longest trekking day carries you up through the French Valley to Mirador Británico and across toward Paine Grande, a marathon length day through some of the most varied landscapes in the park. The itinerary can be adjusted or shortened to match your pace.
A Change of Pace at The Singular
Leaving Tierra Patagonia's wild landscape behind, you transition to the considered elegance of The Singular Patagonia. After days on the trail, this is your moment to slow down entirely with a spa treatment and an exceptional final dinner.
Farewell from Puerto Natales
Your journey concludes with a private transfer to Puerto Natales for your onward flight to Santiago, where you can fly home or extend your trip with a few days in the capital.
Five stays, city to summit
Your journey begins in a stylish boutique hotel in the heart of Buenos Aires, ideally placed for wandering Recoleta and San Telmo before your first evening of tango and steak.
In the trekking capital of Argentina, Los Cerros del Chaltén blends mountain town character with genuine comfort, the ideal base for your days on the Fitz Roy and Laguna Torre trails.
Deep in the Patagonian steppe, EOLO pairs the spirit of a traditional estancia with quiet modern elegance, every meal and drink included as the wilderness stretches out in every direction.
Overlooking the towers of Torres del Paine, Tierra Patagonia is your base for three days of the W Trek, a considered lodge built low into the landscape it looks out on.
Your journey closes at The Singular Patagonia, a refined former sheep shearing station turned hotel where a spa afternoon and a final exceptional dinner send you off in style.
